Herramienta para YouTube Transcript

YouTube Transcript and Caption Tracks

This tool is not available yet: the provider documents a subtitles endpoint, but this deployment has not enabled it because the cost model is unconfirmed.

This page cannot return a transcript today. The provider documents a subtitles endpoint, but this deployment has not enabled it because its cost model is unconfirmed, and a feature that may bill unexpectedly is not switched on by default.

Once enabled, the page would list the caption tracks a video actually has, let you pick a language, and give you the text to copy or download. Nothing else about this page changes: it would remain a reader for captions the video already carries.

Cómo funciona

  1. Paso 1

    Copy the video link

Both the watch and youtu.be forms are accepted. The video id is extracted first, because caption tracks belong to a single video rather than to a channel or a playlist.

  2. Paso 2

    Choose a caption track

Once the endpoint is enabled, a resolved video would show every track it carries, with the language code and whether the track was uploaded by the creator or generated automatically.

  3. Paso 3

    Copy or download the text

The selected track would be sent as plain text you can copy or save. No audio or video is fetched, which is why no media formats are listed on this page.

Qué hace realmente esta herramienta

Creator and automatic tracks

Creator-uploaded captions are usually cleaned up by hand and match the spoken words more closely, while automatic ones are generated by speech recognition and routinely mishear names, numbers and jargon.

Per-language tracks

A video can carry several tracks, and they are not always translations of one another. The list would show the language code exactly as the endpoint reports it, without guessing a display name.

Text only, no media

This feature returns text. It does not download audio or video, so the format panel stays empty for it, and the download links described elsewhere on this site do not apply.

Límites y uso responsable

  • The tool is disabled: this deployment has not enabled the provider's subtitles endpoint, so this page cannot return a transcript at all today.
  • Enabling it is a configuration decision, not a redesign: until that happens, the page fetches nothing and the tool box stays disabled with this explanation.
  • Videos whose captions the creator removed have no tracks to read, and a transcript stays the copyright of the person who wrote or uploaded it.

Preguntas sobre YouTube Transcript

Can I get a transcript from this page today?
No. The tool is disabled because this deployment has not enabled the provider's subtitles endpoint; its cost model is unconfirmed. Until that is settled, the page cannot list caption tracks or return any text.
What will it do once it is enabled?
It will show the caption tracks that video carries, along with each language code, and let you copy or download the selected track as plain text. No audio or video is fetched, so no media formats are offered.
Which YouTube captions are more accurate?
Creator-uploaded captions are usually corrected by hand and follow the spoken words closely. Automatic captions come from speech recognition and often mishear names, numbers and technical terms, so treat them as a rough draft rather than a record.
